Prayer is a key system for growth in the Christian faith. To downplay prayer is to leave your life to chance. 

Prayer is a spiritual exercise, and just like with physical exercise there's a benefit attached to it. With our physical exercises, we shed something as we build the body. Prayer does same for us, we release and receive. 

The release ought to happen because till there is, there can be no receipt. What do we release in the place of prayer then?. The first is "self". God's intent for prayer wasn't selfish, but labour. Prayer will more often than not, as God leads be about others and than yourself. The word of God says [[1Ti 2:1 KJV]] I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; The scripture above prescribes prayer for all men and not self. That is God's approach. As you follow in obedience to His word, yours becomes a done deal. 

People Of God, the receipt in prayer also happens as God's light floods our spirit and is revealed to all. We receive instructions in the place of prayer and that translates into the quality of our walk with God. Prayer is a school; get enrolled now.
